The Trane lineup of air-source modular VRF systems is the industry’s most complete — to serve more buildings, applications and people. These advanced heating and cooling systems are available in both heat-pump and heat-recovery configurations — with heat-recovery systems offering the benefit of simultaneous cooling and heating, using strategically located mode control units (MCUs) to intelligently exchange heat energy between localized zones. Depending on the design, a Trane air-source modular VRF system can achieve up to 38.2 IEER and 34.1 SCHE.
Built to deliver high-performance heating and cooling even under challenging conditions, Trane modular VRF™ systems incorporate numerous design strategies to maximize reliable operation. Robust compressor construction not only helps ensure long life, but also supports sustained periods of high-speed operation. Available dual-compressor models enhance performance and reliability even further, with both compressors able to operate at maximum capacity to provide fast cooling or heating — and then alternating in operation in order to avoid sustained loads on either compressor. Combined with unique electronic expansion valves, these advanced compressors can support total pipe runs of over 3,000 feet — one of the longest in the industry.
